Classes, chances, and what to lock

The class screen shows six chances that add up to 100%. Peasant has no bonus. The other effects come from class write-ups and should be checked on your card.

Six classes are on the roll screen. Their shown chances add up to 100%:

Class Shown chance Bonus reported by class write-ups
Peasant 50% None. This empty bonus matches the captured screen.
Comrade 20% +5% money per player in the server, capped at +15%.
Digger 15% +1 potato from each pick. Reported to stack with pickup upgrades.
Mechanic 12.5% Hand Peeler needs half as many cranks. Auto Peeler peels twice as fast.
Potato Expert 2.4% +25% sell value on potatoes.
Hero of the Potatoes 0.1% Every other class bonus at once. Two write-ups also list +20% faster pickup.

The chance column is the part shown on the captured class screen. The bonus column is what class guides repeat. One roster page described Potato Expert only as "sell for more" and Mechanic only as "machines work faster," and said the exact multipliers were not on the card it used. If your card text differs, trust the card.

How a roll works

You roll in the hub, not inside the potato mountain. One class guide says each roll costs 40 Gems. That price was not on the captured chance screen, so read the prompt before you spend.

A route write-up describes the second slot as locked until you open it. The store sells a +1 Class Slot pass. Paid products named Class reroll, Class reroll x5, Fast Rolls, and 2x Luck also exist. They change how you roll. They do not add a seventh class.

Use the class calculator if you want the independent-roll odds. It does not model pity, because no pity rule has been published.

What to keep

  • Hero of the Potatoes: stop rolling that slot if the combined bonus is what your card says.
  • Potato Expert: the reported solo money class while you are still rolling for Hero.
  • Digger: the useful common roll from the first minute, because +1 potato per pick does not need machines or a party.
  • Mechanic: weak until the Hand Peeler or Auto Peeler exists, then it is the machine class.
  • Comrade: the bonus needs other players. Solo, it is close to Peasant. The reported cap is +15%, which is three players of the 5% bonus, even though a server holds 16.
  • Peasant: reroll when you can.

This order is editorial. It is not an official rank. The same comparison is on the class tier list.

After a balance change

Chapter 2 was teased without a class list. If a new class appears, or if a percent on the screen changes, the table above is out of date.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Time to cook update?

A localized Roblox events line showed Chapter 2 as new content on October 10, 2026. A separate report said the developers teased the words Time to cook for 7:00 PM UTC that day. Neither notice listed the actual features.

What is the goal in Peel THE Potato?

You dig through a mountain of potatoes, peel them, and look for one hidden key. The key opens the vault. After you escape, the replay goal is to beat your fastest escape time.

Is Peel THE Potato free?

Yes. The Roblox experience by soviet potato republic is free to join. Robux products can skip a tool or add storage for a round, but reviewed free routes still reach the key and the vault.

Are there working codes?

No code string is confirmed. Daily rewards and group rewards are separate panels, not typed codes. Do not enter codes published for other potato games.

Is the mountain 25,000 potatoes?

The official description does not give a potato count. Several early guides repeat 25,000. Later reviewed runs never show that counter. They do show a machine checkpoint around 2,500 peels. Treat 25,000 as an unverified headline figure.

Do I need Robux to escape?

No. Paid storage, instant peel actions, and premium pickup tools shorten a run. They are not required to find the key. Do not copy a finish time from a run that bought those shortcuts.
