Open the experience made by soviet potato republic. The official place is Peel THE Potato. A different Roblox game uses a similar potato-peeling title, deliveries, and another currency. Its prices and clear-the-pile goal do not apply here.
What a run is
The official description gives four actions, in this order:
- Dig through the potato mountain.
- Peel potatoes until the hidden key appears.
- Unlock the vault and escape.
- On later runs, beat your fastest escape time.
You play a prisoner set to peel the pile. A short opening leads you to the mountain. Servers hold up to 16 players. You can finish alone or with other people.
Controls that have been documented
Published PC lists agree on W A S D to move and the mouse to look. One list uses Space to jump and Tab to open upgrades. Official media shows an E Grab prompt on a potato. At the peeling station, the left mouse button peels, and reviewed runs also use a hold input so you are not tapping every potato.
Mobile and console button names were not documented in the sources used here. Use the on-screen prompt in those versions.
The loop, once
Do one full cycle before you buy a pile of upgrades.
- Pull potatoes off the mountain. Gold, diamond, and rainbow potatoes are worth more than ordinary ones when they are easy to reach. A rainbow potato can glow. That glow is not the key.
- Carry them to the peeling station and peel the batch.
- Send the finished batch through the sell intake. That Cash is what you spend inside this run.
- Buy the upgrade that is actually slowing you down, then repeat.
Cash from selling stays inside the run. Gems are the permanent hub currency described by class and upgrade guides. They come from finishing runs and from the seven-day reward track. Exact gem amounts on that track were not recorded.
First Cash, in a useful order
Reviewed runs share this early shape. Exact Cash prices move, so follow the job of each purchase rather than a memorized price.
- Take a valuable batch if one is close, then complete the first sell.
- Buy the first real capacity jump. Multiple runs show an early bucket that holds 50 potatoes.
- Raise pickup speed or Hand Grab Amount so filling that bucket is not the new wait.
- Buy Cash Boost early enough that later sales feel it. The account upgrade screen shows Cash Boost, Hand Grab Amount, Bag Size, and Gem Boost.
- Walk the manual peeler line in order. A beginner equipment list names Knife, Swiss Knife, Peeler, Triple Peeler, then the Hand Peeler and Auto Peeler. Later tools are not always skippable.
Bag Size and Hand Grab belong together. A bigger bag only saves trips if you can fill it. Cash Boost is strongest when collection and peeling are already moving.
The 2,500-peel checkpoint
Reviewed Roblox runs unlock the Hand Peeler machine around 2,500 peeled potatoes. That number is a tool checkpoint, not a finish line and not a confirmed key spawn. The machine still needs potatoes loaded, and the hand version still needs cranking. The Auto Peeler comes later and peels a queue without that crank. Its base speed is slow until you upgrade it.
Use the checkpoint calculator only as subtraction from 2,500. If the live game shows a different unlock, trust the game.
When the key appears
The key is hidden among the potatoes. Reviewed runs found it late, and not at the same peel count. Digging a hole and waiting is not a confirmed method. Keep the stations moving, watch the processed potatoes, and take the key to the vault as soon as you see it. The objective is the key, not an empty mountain.
After the escape
Gems from the clear are for the hub: the four account tracks and class rolls. The class screen shows six results. Peasant is 50% and has no bonus. Read Classes before you spend a pile of rolls on the default result.
Leaderboards in captured screens track Fastest Runs, Top Collectors, and Top Wins. A fast time from a run that bought infinite storage or instant peeling is not a free-play target.
